Everything and everyone is disappointing. What the quote means to me is that nothing is ever a good idea. Just stay indoors and never explore anything outside because you will be disappointed. Well FUCK THAT. The quote is degrading because its really saying that do not explore anything. Or do something new. I think your interpretation isn't something I necessarily would have said. Although it is your opinion and I can't really say anything else. I do agree with the fact that nobody can tell you what you can and can't be.
